Introduction
Aims of the study programme: to train a specialist of electrical and automation engineering who has knowledge, abilities and skills for professional designing, installation, maintenance, solving professional problems in electrical engineering in the competitive market. Electrical and automation engineering specialists can work in electrical engineering companies, lead a separate subdivision, or establish his/her own company.
Upon graduation, a graduate will be able to apply knowledge of fundamental engineering sciences, to understand operation principles of electrical, electromechanical and electronic devices and solve designing, installation and maintenance tasks, evaluating achievements of science and technologies; will be able to investigate, compare and evaluate operation processes of energy converters, control devices, automation equipment while applying proper ways and methods for measurement performance; will be able to design electric network and systems, analyze the reliability of electric energy supply, to identify problems and plan the strategies for their elimination; will demonstrate knowledge of automation and mechatronic technologies, to control them and apply in practice; will be able to choose proper methods and ways and perform the reliable measurement. He/she will interpret data of measurements, completion of installation, maintenance and repair laboratory works of electric engineering devices; will be able to evaluate engineering decisions from ethic, social, economic and safety point of view; will apply IT, basic software for engineering problems solution, for results, getting and processing, process management; will be able effectively and responsibly communicate and work in a team.
