The industrialization of timber and non-timber forest raw material, to transform it into final consumer products, is the pinnacle of the forest production process. Its importance in the national economy is increasing due to the generation of jobs and foreign exchange, thanks to the growing demand for the wide variety of products it offers: from sleepers, poles, structures for houses, floors, furniture, doors, sporting goods , etc., to the production of boards, paper and cardboard for various uses.
The development of a solid and prosperous forest industry is essential for forest resources to fulfill their function, for the benefit of man and society. Therefore, it is very important to promote its modernization and technological updating for higher productivity and competitiveness rates.
