To obtain a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management and an American diploma from Touro College and University, the student must earn 120 credits with a GPA of at least 2.3 in compulsory subjects and at least 2.0 in all subjects.
Training lasts 3.5-4 years.
The student should receive the following number of course credits for all years of study:
57 credits in compulsory business and management courses;
Three credits at an elective course (compulsory course);
27 credits in compulsory humanitarian courses;
30 credits in special and humanitarian courses (elective courses);
Three credits for the thesis.
The BACHELOR OF SCIENCES program provides for the receipt of 30 credits in elective courses from the special and humanitarian cycle. A complete list is given on the English version of the site and the Institute's Catalog. Among them are subjects from the field of economics and business, history, political science, psychology, sociology, philosophy, art history, mathematics, English, and literature. The schedule of classes for these courses is established following the schedule of the arrival of teachers and the number of students who have signed up for the course.
Each student, individually or as part of a small group, must do independent scientific research and prepare a thesis for presentation at the Academic Council, which the rector of the Institute appoints. Board meetings are usually held at the end of each semester. Only those who, at the time of the defence, have 117 credits are allowed to defend their thesis.
The diploma commission examines the thesis and gives it an appropriate assessment. The thesis is prepared by the student under the guidance of the teacher.
The student is obliged to provide four photocopies and an electronic copy of the work no later than ten days before the announced date of the project defence. After this deadline, students who have submitted a job are deprived of the opportunity to defend it in the current semester.
The postponement of the protection period is possible only due to a serious illness and is accompanied by an additional fee. Since the defence of the thesis is necessary for obtaining the diploma, the student is obliged to submit it in the next semester at the appointed time.
