Having accepted its first cohort of students in Fall 2013, Architecture is a small but steadily expanding department. While we aspire to match the academic standards of the best architectural schools across the globe and incorporate cutting-edge thinking in architectural pedagogy and practice, we also seek to install in our students, a strong sense of social engagement, environmental responsibility, and professional ethics.

Students are admitted to this four-year-undergraduate program with their MF-4 points in YGS. The department of Architecture requires a strong content knowledge of mathematics, geometry and real interest in visual arts and philosophy.

Our students are trained as experienced interior architects, who design interior spaces by applying artistic dimensions and featuring creative, original furniture designs. They match the specifications of the user with functionality, aesthetics and technical information.

Within the framework of a learner-centered educational approach, the Department of Architecture aims to maintain active participation of students in the learning process, encourage learning by doing, and develop skills of connecting relations, criticizing, interpreting, and synthesizing. The courses in the curriculum serve for connecting theory and practice and developing both generic and subject-specific competencies of students.

Contemporary Architects, City and Regional Planners, Industrial Product Designers, Interior Architects, Landscape, who are competitive, objective, open and transparent at national and international level, who can use information and technology correctly, respect the environment, society and ethical values, are creative, entrepreneurial and leader. To train architects; To make pioneering contributions to the development of the country, to the benefit of humanity and to the awareness of the society with scientific researches, publications and applications in its own fields.

The re-establishment of the Faculty was decided due to the split of the former Faculty of Engineering and Architecture into two units, as the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture, after the meeting of the Council of Ministers on 15.03.2013.

The graduate program of city and regional planning is based on several academic interest areas; planning, design and policy, socio-economic, cultural, physical/spatial, and institutional problems of both built and natural environments, protecting the assets of cultural and natural heritage, social justice, public interest, aesthetic values and functionality and also, analytical thinking.

The basic goal of TED University Department of Architecture is to provide an architectural education that aims to train students to become architects who are able to meet the contemporary world’s increasing demand for flexible thinking and production; and who can follow technological, social, and practical developments day today. The Department of Architecture incorporates the student-oriented education policy of TED University and the practice of learning by doing, which is an essential requirement of architectural education and aims to define an education environment that facilitates interdisciplinary information exchange.

The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design was established in 2012 within the Faculty of Fine Arts of our university.

Our program emphasizes the responsibility of architects for their impact on the environment. Our graduates will contribute to a new understanding of design based on an ethically responsible approach towards the environment and thus, will become involved actively in the creation of a better world. We envision a future where our graduates lead the way to developing more environmentally resilient ways of designing not only in Turkey but also all around the world.
