BFA in Acting students at APU train in a variety of performance techniques, participating in high-level main stage productions and studio classes. They are mentored by professors with acclaimed professional credentials—working actors, directors, designers, agents, and casting directors. BFA seniors culminate their training with an industry showcase in Los Angeles at prestigious locations such as Warner Bros. Studios.

Acting CDT celebrates the creative potential of collaborative processes, as well as the development of the individual actor. The core actor training includes the psychophysical techniques of Jacques Lecoq, Michael Chekhov, Constantin Stanislavski and Kristin Linklater and emphasizes an embodied and experiential approach. The course encourages actors to develop rehearsal techniques for script-based work as well as explore the most up-to-date forms of theatre and filmmaking and to have a full creative and political engagement with their work. Students are entitled to full Equity status upon graduation. Acting CDT is in creative partnership with international touring theatre company Complicate.

Acting BA (Hons) at Drama St Mary’s is a rigorous, full-time course that equips you for a career in acting.

BA Screen Acting is a unique, practical, industry-focused degree which will allow you to develop the skills necessary to become a screen actor. This course has been developed with industry professionals to reflect the real business of screen acting. Through a combination of lectures, seminars, reflective practice, and self-directed learning, everything you learn will be put into practice through a wide range of practical exercises and productions.

Forty-eight (48) credit hours in Theatre: the core (27 credits) and one concentration or “track” (21 credits) selected from the following options: performance (acting and/or directing), technical studies, creative dramatics or general studies.
