The School of Fashion offers ten BFA degree programs, each designed to prepare you for work in the fashion industry. They are: Design, Knitwear Design, Textile Design, Costume Design, Footwear & Accessory Design, Fashion Styling, Fashion Product Development, Fashion Visual Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, and Fashion Marketing. Students in these BFA programs may choose an emphasis in Fashion Design or 3D Design Pattern Making. Coursework combines excellence in design, artistic production, and innovative technology to provide students with the skills necessary to fully realize their creative visions.

The course trains Fashion Designers with stylistic and creative competencies combined with the ability to define innovative products, develop stories, and place a final product in the market. The different collections and the production of prototypes are the main areas of expertise provided to students throughout the three years of study. The course offers two specializations: Fashion Design, aimed at training professionals able to translate their personal narration into a collection of garments and accessories, and Shoes and Accessories Design - taught exclusively in the Italian language, which provides specific training about design and production techniques that considers the peculiarity of the product.

Following the graduation of the Bachelor DEES MOD, the incumbent masters the conceptual instruments essential to the deployment of his creativity and his translation into a visual and technical language, specific to fashion. He is able to make a garment from its conception, in the form of sketches, to its manufacture in fabrics, whether it is a single piece or a small series in industrial production. The student is able to capture a trend, decrypt and position itself in this trajectory by a personal work both in style and production.

The educational objective of the course is to train professionals in the fashion industry who are able to take part in the creative process, the value proposition, and the promotion of a brand or a fashion product and its defining style and aesthetic. Becoming a Fashion Stylist, which is a multidisciplinary and analytical profile, requires the completion of a transversal educational path that must include a solid cultural background and a strong understanding of the technical tools of photography, video-making, and the world of fashion. Fashion Stylists have the ability to create a wide framework of visual and aesthetic references for a brand and interpret and analyze trends.

The focus of vocational education in the 21st century is on the course of innovation and professional skills. The Department of Fashion Styling’s objective is to provide the students an environment for developing character, knowledge, physical culture, communication, and aesthetics. The Department of Fashion Styling is establishing a new direction for vocational students and a different way of undergraduate learning. The Department of Fashion Styling stresses styling design and integrates classes of certificates, practical training, internship, and image design classes to train students to be well-trained styling designers in all aspects. The Department of Fashion Styling has won 4 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 6 bronze medals in international competitions from 2008 to 2010, also been rewarded “Outstanding Student Award of Technological and Vocational Education” for 3 years.
