The undergraduate program in Business Administration, which leads to a Bachelor of Science degree, is designed to accomplish two objectives. The first of these is to prepare students for lifelong professional careers in commerce, finance and industry, as well as for management careers in the public and not-for-profit sectors. A second objective is to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to obtain professional, entry level positions in one functional area of the business enterprise, or in some particular field of business.

The Management Department at U.S.C. focuses on such areas as entrepreneurship, strategic management, human resources, business communication, business ethics, and organizational behavior.

The management major at D.U. focuses on people—the most important resource in business. Students may study such areas as human resource management, organizational behavior, labor relations, ethics, international management, planning and control, and problem identification and diagnosis.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Management was developed for students who have completed an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. This program is intended for students who have work experience in their chosen field and seek to further their education to move into management or administrative roles.

This program combines the strengths of traditional management principles and practices with the art and science of traditional and emerging communication strategies to provide the essentials and enhancements required for a successful career in business and the Christian community.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy, Manufacturing and Trades Management (BAS-EMTM) is designed for Associate of Applied Science degree-holding students seeking to advance their professional qualifications.

This is designed for students who intend to pursue professional careers in forest land and timber management in both the public and private sectors. Students may select from a wide range of electives to meet specific career objectives; for example, emphasizing in such areas as business, communications, and geographical information systems in forestry and related sciences.
