Cognitive Science is the study of how processes in the mind shape human behavior. Cognitive scientists use advanced statistics, and sensitive experimental methods, to reveal the nature of these processes. They do this to advance our knowledge of human thought and behavior, and to apply this knowledge in real-world settings.

In your first year with YUFE, you'll begin your bachelor's studies at your chosen university to build a common foundation in urban sustainability through a mix of on-site and online courses.​ Continuing your studies, you can personalise your curriculum, depending on your three chosen minors. At least two of these minors will have to be taken at a partner university, allowing you to travel to a minimum of two partner universities.

Town and regional planning is primarily concerned with the planning, design, implementation and management of public interventions in the development and use of land from site to supranational level so as to widen choice, promote equity and ensure sustainable development. In Cities, Regions, Planning, you learn to apply inclusive and sustainable planning interventions, consulting skills, governance, and political procedures, and activist tools to manage urban growth (and decline), provide infrastructure, integrate newcomers, and mitigate environmental impacts.

Human Geography and Urban-Rural Planning Major: This major was established in 2012, formerly known as "Resources Environment and Urban-Rural Planning Management", and was renamed in 2013. Starting in 2013, it will enroll 60 students for each grade, and the school system will be four years. There are currently 11 full-time teachers, with laboratories that meet the teaching needs and relatively advanced equipment; the teaching effect is obvious, and several characteristic directions such as surveying, planning and mapping, and geography teaching have been basically formed; the development process of cities around our province and prefecture Accelerated, the development of industries such as real estate, construction, and planning and mapping has provided graduates with a large number of employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. The employment rate of students is relatively high and has remained above 90% in recent years.
