A finance major is for you if you're interested in gaining a global understanding of the financial markets, an ability to value real and portfolio investments, an understanding of how to hedge financial risks, and an ability to make informed financial management decisions. We designed the finance major to provide you with a global understanding of financial markets. You'll learn to make informed financial management decisions. You'll also gain an understanding of the risk and return characteristics of investment instruments. In the Investments course, you'll manage a one-million-dollar virtual portfolio. You'll learn to invest in stocks, bonds, options, commodities, and foreign exchange futures. In Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, you'll perform macro-economic, industry, and security analyses. As part of this project, you'll learn how to examine a firm’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

We will build your foundation through traditional modes of study such as drawing, painting, and sculpture, with the freedom to invent new forms of visual and conceptual meaning in advanced courses. Our Fine Arts program involves formally rigorous and conceptually challenging studio investigations. Areas of studio concentration include drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and more.
