The Digital Storytelling Program is an interdisciplinary BA in the School of Visual Studies, that combines narrative and conceptually driven studies with the new and emerging multimedia tools to achieve a balance between aesthetic and imagination.

Students will be able to manage information technology and security projects, effectively communicating across the project life span. Students will acquire the technical skills to work in Java, C++, C#, and web programming languages and develop software using agile processes. Students will understand the theory and techniques encompassed by relational databases, computer systems functions and management, and network design, management, and security. Students will be able to conduct digital investigations, processing evidence according to accepted professional standards, and utilize a broad skill base to anticipate, identify, assess, protect and respond to digital threats to their employer, nation, and global society.

Psychology is the science that endeavors to achieve the goals of observation, description, understanding, prediction, and control of behavior and psychological processes. Topical areas of inquiry include human development, personality theory, neuroscience, learning, memory and cognition, emotion, sensation and perception, interpersonal relationships, personal adjustment, abnormal behavior, and psychotherapy. Theoretical perspectives most emphasized over the course of studies include Neuroscience, cognitive science, behavioral and social learning theories, humanist-existential, poststructural and psychodynamic theories.

The Missouri School of Journalism is where storytellers of all kinds can find their voices by using them first. This hands-on philosophy of learning-by-doing was deemed “the Missouri Method.”

The Child Development and Education emphasis provide instruction and experiences to help students understand, guide, and teach young children.

Textile & Apparel Management (TAM) is a program which focuses on the apparel and textile supply chain. The curriculum emphasizes leadership, the global supply chain, sustainability, creativity/innovation and technology. Students have access to state-of-the-art design and apparel technology labs.

The environmental science major is a science-based course of study that focuses on the natural environment and man's interactions and use of its resources. Students examine the structure and function of natural systems and develop techniques and skills that will allow them to work in the field of natural resources. A Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, or associate degree in environmental science can lead to careers in a wide variety of public and private organizations and government agencies. It will also prepare those students who wish to pursue advanced graduate study.

In the Bachelor of Arts in Art, you will receive training in techniques and theories while gaining a better understanding of the history and criticism of art. The flexibility in this program allows you to acquire a breadth of experience in various art mediums, while also exploring any area deeper via a minor or double major.
