Introduction
Traditionally, academic training in Psychology has used expository, unidirectional teaching methodologies, where students are passive agents in receiving knowledge, and not active in applying that knowledge to the professional context.
The academic model of the Psychology course innovates by applying teaching based on competences that simultaneously develop knowledge, skills and attitudes, and where the student is the protagonist of his learning.
The pillars of this approach are based on a systemic teaching of knowledge inherent to the scientific area of Psychology, on the simulation of professional practice situations and on immersion in a real professional context, on the close relationship developed with reference partner entities and in interaction with other Health professionals.
Understanding the needs of the professional of the future, we promote synergy between the development of soft skills (relational/social/emotional skills) and hard skills (technical skills), as well as internationalization experiences, fundamental for the training of global professionals in Psychology.
