Introduction
The Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours program provides an opportunity for you, under the guidance of your supervisor, to engage in independent research in your chosen field of artistic practice. During the year you produce a major creative work, or series of works, and a related research paper. The course also introduces you to practice-led research skills and develops your capacity for devising, defining and managing a major project. The program offers a direct pathway to a higher research degree as well as equipping you to work as a professional practicing artist in your chosen field of specialization.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film and Television) (Honours) is for students that have achieved high results in an undergraduate degree in film and television, either at the Victorian College of the Arts or another institution and who wish to extend their practice and develop their research ability. It is a year-long program that introduces you to creative and theoretical research skills and methodologies.
