This major is to train applied advanced technology talents of computer science and technology disciplines with good quality scientific, systematic, good grasp of computer science and technology, including computer hardware, software, network and application of the basic theory, basic knowledge, basic skills and methods, to be capable of various types work in information system, control system, computer communication system analysis, design, development, production, and teaching.

A major in Computer Science & Technology is a key major in Zhejiang province, and also a major in the “Excellent Engineer Training Program”.

This major in Bachelor in Computer Science and Technologyis to train applied advanced technology talents of computer science and technology disciplines with good quality scientific, systematic, good grasp of computer science and technology, including computer hardware, software, network and application of the basic theory, basic knowledge, basic skills and methods, to be capable of various types work in information system, control system, computer communication system analysis, design, development, production, and teaching.

Applicant should be aged between 18 and 35.

Applicant must hold a high school degree or above; fresh high school graduates must provide a pre-graduation certificate issued by their current school.

The applicant should be a foreign citizen. Foreign citizens of Chinese origin applying as international students in China must have held a valid foreign passport for at least 4 years and must have resided in a foreign country for at least 2 years in the past 4 years (as of April 30, 2023). (9 months of residence in a foreign country may count as a full year.)

Applicant should have no criminal record and no history of drug addiction and must be willing to abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China as well as relevant school regulations.

Language proficiency: Applicants for English-taught programs must provide IELTS (minimum score of 5.5), TOEFL iBT (minimum score of 80), or other English proficiency certificates, or pass the Zhejiang University of Science and Technology Entrance English Test. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must provide an HSK4 certificate with a score of at least 180.

All applicants must take the university entrance examination or assessment.
